Uganda, South Sudan - February 10
The Ugandan government denied claims made by South Sudanese rebels that the government illegally deployed more troops into South Sudan. The rebels maintain that some 7000 additional Ugandan soldiers were sent into South Sudan, accompanying the 3000 Ugandan soldiers already present in the area. The Ugandan government denied these allegations, stating that if they had conducted such a large movement of troops, someone could tell. Source: All Africa
