Democratic Republic of the Congo - Feb 10

The United Nations peacekeeping mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo has been put on hold following accusations of human rights abuses against two of the generals leading the Congolese troops. The peacekeeping mission, which has been called “critical,” had been supporting operations against Rwandan rebels and is set to continue its support of the FARDC efforts after the outstanding issues are resolved.
