Poverty levels in Montevideo have decreased from 32,9% in 2006 to 15,7% in 2013. A detailed report from the Revision of Basic Indicators of Social development specifies the statistics. Corresponding data shows that the level of activity in the labor market has gone up from 61,6% to 65,1% between 2006 and 2013. Similar percentages occurred across the nation, not just in the capital. However, Montevideo in 2013 still was classified as having 10,8% of homes with NBI (basic needs unsatisfied). Source: Republica
