Vietnam - 15 April
At a conference on helping Agent Orange victims, President Truing Tan Sang requested the support of local and international organizations to support humanitarian programs assisting the poor and needy. A national campaign launched in mid-December last year mobilized over $33.4 million to build 559 houses and provided health assistance to over 160,000 people. The campaign was reviewed at the conference, and a special mention was given to the Viet Nam Red Cross for their efforts.
