The China-based telecommunications firm Huawei forecasts that its newest smartphone, the Ascend P7, will reach sales of 10 million in 12 months. Running on a 4G LTE mobile broadband system, as compared to its predecessor the Ascend P6, the new phone has already sold 1 million units since its launch in May. Huawei, the third largest producer of smart phones, hopes to capitalize on both demand domestically and in South Asia. Huawei's growing prominence inside and outside Asia symbolizes the rise of Chinese firms to international importance and the shift of world attention towards Asian businesses. http://english.peopledaily.com.cn/business/n/2014/0617/c90778-8742568.html
