The European Commission recently published a report about investment protection and investor–to–state dispute settlements in the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership Agreement. The report serves as an update to the preliminary statistical analysis released in July. The Commission stated that more work is needed on future investment rules, and, although TTIP talks are continuing, investor protection in the European Union has been suspended for now.
