Physicians from Doctors Without Borders are claiming that the fatality rate is mysteriously falling in West African Ebola clinics. Since last March, the average death rate has dropped from 62% to 52% although many of the doctors’ methods haven’t changed. The most plausible explanation for the recent phenomenon is that the levels of the virus found in patients’ blood has been declined or that the virus itself has mutated to become less lethal.
