Hungary - Apr 16

Hungary is the latest country in Europe to demonstrate a move to the political right. In a special election, a member of the Jobbik Party has been elected and is awaiting confirmation. Concerns have been raised throughout the country regarding his election as he comes from a party that has taken extremist measures. An openly anti-Semitic party, Jobbik has called for a census of all Jews in the country and a Jobbik official went so far as to spit on the Holocaust memorial. Many are hoping the candidate will not be confirmed. Source: WSJ
