Thailand - Apr 14
The Thailand’s National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) expressed approval of President Obama’s nomination of Glyn Davies as the U.S. Ambassador to Thailand. NCPO said the nomination shows Washington’s care for the US-Thailand relations. Although NCPO insists that the US still does not “understand” the junta’s motives and significance in Thailand, it still believes that the nomination is a positive development since the ambassador’s office has been vacant for six months.
