Laos - Oct 18
The Laotian Ministry of Health has announced that all foreign run clinics are to be shut as soon as possible. Under current law, foreigners are prohibited from managing clinics in Laos. To route this, many rent their business licenses from Laotians. Through use of repeat fines and then forfeiture by force if necessary, Laos is attempting to move foreign investment in Laotian healthcare towards currently existing hospitals.
