Liberia - Jan 16
In Liberia’s House of Representatives, blows were exchanged by two lawmakers. While Speaker J. Alex Tyler - under investigation by the Liberia Anti-Corruption Commission - read aloud his list of appointed committee heads, anti-Tyler opponent Representative Roland Opee Cooper slapped pro-Tyler supporter Representative Adam Bill Torneh across the face after Torneh stopped him from physically stopping the Speaker from continuing. It remains to see if the House of Representatives will come to terms before President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf’s address to the legislature in two weeks. Source: All Africa
