Serbia hosted its first peaceful pro-LGBT demonstration in the country in more than a decade this past Sunday. Heavy police security was necessary to prevent a community of neo-Nazis and ultranationalists rom violently disrupting the event as they did in 2010. Not only was it important that such a parade was organized without much disruption, but with public support from government institutions. This is a giant step forward for a country looking to finally become an integral member of the European community. Source: Vice News
